Unlock the Potential of Zinc
Located in Greeneville, Tennessee, with more than 350,000 square feet of manufacturing space, Jarden Zinc is the largest North American producer of solid zinc strip and zinc-based products. Our zinc strip is used throughout the world in a broad range of applications, including coinage, automotive, electronic applications, building materials, rain goods, plumbing hardware, and cathodic protection products.
Jarden Zinc Products is a subsidiary of the Newell Brands, Inc., whose principal offices are in Atlanta, Georgia. Newell Brands is a leading provider of niche consumer products used in and around the home, under well-known brand names including Ball®, Bee®, Sharpie®, Rubbermaid®, Bernardin®, Bicycle®, Crawford®, Diamond®, FoodSaver®, Forster®, Hoyle®, Kerr®, Lehigh®, Leslie Locke®, Yankee Candle®, Loew Cornell® and VillaWare®.
Jarden Zinc Products has roots that reach more than a century into America’s past. In 1880, five brothers founded what was called Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing Company. Their company quickly became the leading manufacturer of glass home canning jars in the United States. The operation included a zinc mill, which produced the lids for the famous Ball Mason Jars.
In 1992, Ball Corporation spun off seven of its divisions into a new company called Alltrista Corporation, which was later renamed Jarden Corporation. In April of 2016, Newell Rubbermaid purchased Jarden Corporation, renaming the joined companies Newell Brands.
